Primary industries where slurry pumps are commonly used
Primary industries where slurry pumps are commonly used:
- Mining plants: Slurry pumps are the preferred choice for mining plants. The slurry in mines contains a large amount of particles and is often subjected to harsh environments. Therefore, slurry pumps made of wear-resistant materials are commonly used in mining plants.
- Coal preparation plants: Similar to mining plants, coal preparation plants handle slurry with a significant amount of particles. However, coal chunks in coal preparation plants are larger and more prone to causing blockages in slurry pumps. Therefore, the requirements for slurry pumps in the coal preparation industry are higher, typically requiring high flow and good passability.
- Wastewater treatment industry: With increasing environmental regulations, many wastewater needs to be treated before discharge. Wastewater also contains a significant amount of particles, making slurry pumps widely used in wastewater treatment projects in recent years.
- Sand pumping: For sand pumping, pumps with good passability, such as G-type gravel pumps, are commonly chosen. These pumps are often installed in sand pumping vessels.
- Power desulfurization industry: In the power desulfurization industry, pumps specifically designed for desulfurization, sometimes referred to as desulfurization pumps, are used. These pumps are typically made of corrosion-resistant materials like A49.
The above mentioned industries are just a few examples of where slurry pumps are commonly used. There are many other industries where slurry pumps find their applications, which we can discuss in more detail in the future.
