Introduction to SP Submersible Slurry Pump

SP slurry pump is a type of submersible slurry pump, which is a common and frequently used type of slurry pump. It is also a type of centrifugal pump, but its installation method is different from AH type and ZJ type slurry pumps. It is a slurry pump with the pump head immersed in liquid. This type of slurry pump does not require any shaft seals and can still operate normally even with insufficient feed.

Today, Pansto Pumps will introduce the SP submersible slurry pump.

The difference between SP slurry pump and AH, ZJ slurry pump is that it has a single pump casing structure, which means there is only the pump body or casing without lining, directly in contact with the slurry.

The wetted parts of the SP slurry pump are available in two materials: high-chrome alloy and natural rubber. If it is made of natural rubber, the letter “R” is added after the SP in the model designation.

The shaft length of the SP slurry pump can be extended or shortened according to site requirements. If additional submergence depth is required, there are two ways to extend it: by extending the shaft or adding a suction pipe. If neither extending the shaft nor adding a suction pipe alone can meet the requirements for submergence depth, both methods can be applied simultaneously, i.e., extending the shaft and then adding a suction pipe.

The SP slurry pump can also be equipped with an agitator device at the bottom of the pump body to stir up the solid particles in the slurry for better conveying efficiency. The SP slurry pump is mainly suitable for conveying corrosive, coarse-grained, and high-concentration liquids. It is widely used in industries such as metallurgy, mining, coal, power, building materials, and environmental protection.

The SP slurry pump has two transmission modes: direct coupling and belt drive.
