Material: Different materials result in varying prices for the same pump model. For example, a pump made of high-chrome alloy will be priced higher than one made of natural rubber. Additionally, even within the category of high-chrome alloy, the chromium content can differ across manufacturers. Some manufacturers may reduce the chromium content to lower costs, compromising the pump’s wear resistance. Therefore, when encountering significantly lower prices, it is important to check if the manufacturer has compromised on material quality.
Transmission method: In addition to direct coupling between the motor and pump, belt transmission using pulleys can also be utilized. If belt transmission is involved, the presence of a common base for the pump and motor can lead to a slightly higher price.
Sealing method: Slurry pumps generally employ three sealing methods – packing seal, expeller seal, and mechanical seal.
